Wednesday shares

Today I’m sharing another couple of blogs I read. I only discovered both of them relatively recently, but I’m enjoying reading them. They both also have a podcast associated with them.

First up is PhotoBizXposed which is produced by Andrew Hellmich from Impact Images on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. I’d have to say the main focus here is the podcast. I enjoy this one so much I’ve just paid to become a premium member.

Each week, Andrew produces an interview with experts who can help photographers build their exposure and business – ranging from web optimisation and SEO to finding and wooing new clients. There’s something there for everyone running a photography business. I’m slowly making my way through the back-catalogue in the Premium Section, which at only $10 per month is excellent value for money!

Next is the Ready Steady Pro podcast by Michael Rammell. The podcast is aimed at people transitioning into becoming professional photographers. There’s a wealth of information in each podcast with interviews and round-table discussions. This one is based in the UK, but the information shared is applicable world wide. Michael’s blog is always an interesting read – he’s both thoughtful and insightful. It’s obvious that Michael has a passion for photography and puts a great deal of effort into producing both his blog and his podcast.

Enjoy reading and listening!

Photography is about vision; I love making photographs that tell a location’s story – the place, the people and the culture. I'm a photographer with a relaxed approach. I'm an experienced traveller and love teaching others about photography. Images can be made anywhere - right in your back yard or in exotic overseas locations. I can teach you not only to look at your surroundings, but also to really "see" what's there. Photography is more than just pressing a button. It's also about vision. Let me show you how to look, see and capture your world.
